𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐲 - 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 partners, parents, and children at the "Enable the Children Program Annual Beach Outing for Children #LivingwithDisabilities," an initiative organised by World Hope International that transformed the shores into a celebration of #inclusion, #dignity, and #hope.

Welcoming families with warmth, the Minister expressed profound appreciation to World Hope International and UNICEF Sierra Leone for their steadfast partnership, noting that such collaboration continues to complement the government's efforts in protecting and empowering #childrenwithdisabilities.
She reaffirmed the government's unwavering commitment to inclusion, stressing that no child should be left behind and that the rights of persons with disabilities remain central to national development.
In her remarks, Mrs. Karminty underscored the importance of strengthening laws and policies in line with the #UNConvention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, highlighting ongoing efforts to update legal frameworks to address discrimination, violence, and access to essential services.
She emphasised the need for assistive devices, proper assessments, and certification processes to ensure children living with disabilities can fully access education, healthcare, and #socialprotectionservices.
Acknowledging the daily challenges faced by parents and caregivers, the Honourable Minister described children with disabilities as holding a special place in her heart and assured families of the government's continued resolve to work with partners to advance inclusion, protection, and equal opportunity for every child in Sierra Leone.
